Helena Resano is discharged after spending a week in the hospital: “I have to stop and recover well”

Good news for the journalist Helena Resano, who was admitted to the hospital suffering from paralysis in the lower limbs for an unknown cause a week ago. This Monday, the La Sexta journalist was discharged and returned home to recover while she awaits the results of the tests that have been performed on her. She celebrated it with an emotional message on social networks: “I’m going home. With a whole plan ahead to recover 100%. I have to stop. Recover well. And gain strength to be the same as always.”

The journalist, who has also shared an image from the hospital, wanted to thank the love received in recent days: “Make a mental note of this. Of everything. Of people’s affection. I am overwhelmed by all your messages. I have thousands unanswered. Unreturned phone calls”, has said. “A huge thank you to everyone who has taken care of me these days. To the doctors, health workers, guards… They came to my room to ask how I was doing. They smiled at me during each test. Thanks to my family, to my friends who have come to the hospital every day to make me smile and push me, to support me. In a few days I hope to be fighting,” he wrote.

She herself was in charge of announcing that she was suffering from health problems for which she had been admitted to the hospital. Brave, she acknowledged that she had passed “fear and anguish”. “The leg is still there, not wanting to wake up. I have already told him that we have many dances to enjoy, many walks to do. And that either he gets the batteries or I do. And there we are negotiating. With the rehabilitator, the leg and me,” he said then.

The presenter has received countless comments of affection and wishes for recovery from followers and friends such as Nuria Roca, Máximo Huerta, Isabel Jiménez, Paula Echevarría or Carme Chaparro: “The first thing is you, partner. The body suffers more than we think. Recover and don’t force yourself.”
