HC Castellón and HCR Cent Patins complete the semifinals in the Copa del Rey inline hockey

Skulls Almassera and Tucans ASME also reached the penultimate round in the Copa de la Reina

MADRID, 2 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

HC Castellón and HCR Cent Patins reached the semifinals of the Copa del Rey inline hockey, which is being held in Zamora, thanks to their respective victories in the quarterfinals against Arona Tenerife Guanches (6 -2) and against Espanya Hoquei Club de Palma (4-3).

On the pitch of the Ángel Nieto Pavilion, Castellón dominated from the start until they were three goals ahead (3-0) before half-time. Arona Tenerife fought to get into the game and two consecutive goals tightened the score, but in the final stretch Castellón scored two goals into an empty net and sealed the match.

For its part, Cent Patins suffered more to overcome its rival. Despite the Catalans taking the lead, Espanya came back and reached the last five minutes with a 2-3 advantage. With just four minutes left, Marcos Pablo Fajardo equalized and forced extra time. Already in that extra time, a goal from David Coronas gave the victory to Rubí's team.

Both teams will compete this Saturday in the semis, where Castellón will face CPLV Caja Rural at 7:00 p.m. and Cent Patins will face Club Molina Sport ACEGC from 8:30 p.m.

SKULLS ALMASSERA AND TUCANS ASME, ALSO IN THE PENTAL ROUND

In the Copa de la Reina, which is also held in Zamora, CPH Skulls Almàssera went to the semi-finals after beating Tres Cantos PC 2-6. Marta Esteve's team already started winning with a goal from Blanca López, who was ultimately chosen as MVP of the match.

Noelia Muñoz tied the duel shortly after and Paula Lamas put the Skulls ahead again, but Zoe Martín equalized the score two minutes before the break. When there was only 1 second left for that intermission, López's second goal put Almàssera's team ahead again, who secured the victory with two goals very close to finishing.

Meanwhile, Tucans ASME needed the extension to get their ticket to the 'semi'. The Catalan team started 0-1 down against CDE Patinaje Línea Madrid Fénix, but quickly turned the score around (2-1). Then the partial increased to 4-2 in favor of Barcelona. In the second half, the Madrid team reached 5-7 with only a minute and a half left in the game.

From that moment on, the game entered a crazy phase and two goals from Tucans forced extra time, in which Abril Sanchís sealed the definitive comeback to 8-7. After these results, Skulls will meet Cent Patins this Saturday (4:00 p.m.) and Tucans will face CPLV Munia Panteras (5:30 p.m.).
