Greenwood apologizes for inhaling laughing gas

Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood apologized after being caught at 18 by inhaling laughing gas, a kind of legal drug that is all the rage in the UK.

The young soccer player condemned his own behavior and asked that, please, no one follow his example due to the health risks that this substance can cause.

The British newspaper The Sun published some images in which the English was seen inhaling this gas.

“I am now aware of the health risks associated with the use of this substance, and I accept that consuming it, as seen in the images, has been a mistake on my part,” Greenwood said in a statement.

“As an 18-year-old, I am constantly learning. However, this week I have learned that I am going to be judged at a high level for my career as a footballer and I respect that for the future,” he added.

Greenwood has been in the eye of the hurricane in recent days because he was caught, along with Manchester City player Phil Foden, breaking the coronavirus rules in a call from England, by uploading two girls in his hotel room.
