Giving Oregon’s win over Liberty in the Fiesta Bowl a grade

It will be our job to rate Oregon every week. We are going to give good marks to every position group, the offensive line, the defense, or the team as a whole.

These grades were given by DuckTerritory workers and users on the basis of their own thoughts and what they witnessed at the games.

This game was both an excellent occasion to say goodbye to some key Ducks players as well as a very odd way for a team at this level to reach its conclusion.

At least one open set and two defensive ones made Liberty a threat. After which, this game got really rough.

It was cool to see Boe Nix break college or NCAA records, but the competition itself was a failure.

This season could have looked better after that. At the conclusion of the night, fans began contemplating about what the outcome might have been.

Today, Nix played great, identical to what he has all year and for the two years he has been on the team.

Liberty got off a strong start with a quick 6-0 lead, but the Ducks converted 45 straight points.

Nix led all seven scoring drives and scored 5 touchdowns by means of the air, which was a new record for the school bowl.

Finally, this season was different. In Ducks history, it is the sixth instance that the season finished with at least 12 wins.

Each of those 12 wins was by an average of 32.8 points. Seasons of very few TV shows are consistently good.

Our biggest goals still haven’t been met, even though they looked like they would be easy to reach this year. It’s time to party!

The game did start slowly. upon the first drive stopped in the red area, a field goal proved kicked.

A botched third-and-long pass on the second drive led to a very rare three-and-out. But this game provided a real treasure trove of clever and skilled attacks as a whole.

It was magic in Glendale with Nix. It was only 4 out of 8 for him before the game, but he only made one in those four bad passes.

Almost every school record over a single season had been broken by the final moments of the game.

By the finish of the game, the surpassed Marcus Mariota to achieve the season’s most completions (364), yards (4,508), touchdowns (45), and passing efficiency (77.4 percent).

In his last game in a college student, Irving ran to feed 117 yards and scored a touchdown. I’ll remember his 44-yard spinning run, on where he almost scored, the most about his work.

There were a lot of elements that make his play such a delight to watch. We observed the balance, the speed, and the change in direction.

It was nice that Irving scored the touchdown on what would have been almost his last action with Nix.

Both of them moved to Oregon as an transfers for 2022. When they leave, people will call them Duck Heroes.

There was no doubt that Johnson made history when he played at the Fiesta Bowl. Troy Franklin didn’t have the most catches at a season record for very long.

It is now Tez’s. By the finish of the 2023 season, Johnson had caught 86 passes. That’s the number of goals a duck has ever scored in a season.

Tight ends Terrance Ferguson and Kenyon Sadiq both scored as well. Nix’s record-setting touchdown ball was also Sadiq’s first score in college football. That’s a critical time for the new player.

Liberty beat its rivals in the Conference America very easily. Their attacking line has big enough for an NCAA Division 5 school, their quarterback is keen on playing in the NFL, as well as have some guys with a lot of skill.

To be fair, nevertheless, on Monday it might have been a college-junior varsity game between teams within the same group.

We’re about to find out if this is Jeffrey Bassa’s college game. That was an excellent manner to end things if it was true.

For his work, the junior receiver got Defensive MVP. He had eight stops, which was the most of any player.
