has done it in Vanity Fair Already with an open heart, she has recounted how these months have been for her and her family: “We reached this decision to end our marriage after much deliberation. Doing so is, of course, painful and difficult, as it is for many people who go through what same every day all over the world.

The Brazilian assures that she fought until she could no more so that she did not end up in separation: “You give everything to achieve it. You give 100% of yourself and it is heartbreaking when it does not end up being what you expected and what you worked for. The only thing that What you can do is do your part. (…) It’s hard because you imagined that your life was going to be a certain way and you did everything you could”.

At times, Gisele felt trapped and acknowledges that they did not reach an agreement: “When you love someone, you don’t put them in jail and say: ‘This is the life you have to live’; you free them to be who they are , and if you want to fly in the same direction, that’s incredible. (…) Over time we realized that we wanted different things and that decisions have to be made. That doesn’t mean you don’t love that person. Just it means that to be authentic and live the life you want you have to have someone you can come to terms with. It’s a dance, a balance.”

However, she wanted to deny the theory that they had separated because she had given the seven-time Super Bowl winner an ultimatum to retire. “They turned me into someone against football. But I have always encouraged Tom, and I will continue to do so. If there is one person I want to see happiest in the world, it is him, believe me. I want him to succeed and win. I want all your dreams to come true.” In addition, she says that she maintains an excellent relationship with the father of her children: “We do not play against each other. We are a team and that is precious.” And that she is now ready for a new stage: “I want to spread my wings and fly.”
