Getafe CF drew this Saturday with Elche CF (1-1) and their stay in LaLiga Santander was complicated, whose 35th matchday saw the triumphs of Villarreal CF over Girona FC (1-2) and Athletic Club against RC Celta de Vigo (2-1), pressing on their aspirations to obtain two separate tickets for European competition in the next course.
At the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez, the locals got off to a strong start and took the lead with a goal from Munir El Haddadi on 8′. After a good play by the azulones on the right side of their attack, Damián Suárez crossed calmly to the opposite side so that his teammate sent the ball into the back of the net with a left-footed volley.

Meanwhile, UD Almería caught more than oxygen thanks to a hat-trick by Brazilian striker Lázaro Vinicius against RCD Mallorca (3-0). Having already reached 39 points, the team from Almería came closer in the qualifying table precisely to the Mallorcan club, which accumulates 44 points in no man’s land.
On the other hand, Villarreal prevailed ‘in extremis’ in Montilivi. In between, Athletic smiled for their victory against Celta with goals from Iñaki Williams and Álex Berenguer, one in each half. The unsuccessful goal for the team from Vigo was scored by Jorgen Strand Larsen, but without preventing the ‘lions’ from reaching 50 points in the middle of the fight to get into the Europa League or, at least, in the Conference League.
