Granada announced this Wednesday the departure of Germán Sánchez, the second of the day after the already confirmed Montoro. Germán finished his contract with the Nasrid club this month and in the end, despite the fact that the player wanted to continue with the entity in the Second Division, no agreement has been reached to extend his relationship with Granada.
“Germán joined the team in the summer of 2017. Since then he has added 168 official matches, being an important part of the last promotion to First Division or participation in the Europa League for the first time in our history. For his human values and leadership, his teammates have chosen him in recent seasons as one of the captains”, explained in the official Granada statement to announce Germán’s departure.
The movements do not stop in the offices of the Andalusian club. Both the sports director, Nico Rodríguez, and the coach, Aitor Karanka, are analyzing these days the situation of each player and the possibilities offered by the market to make definitive decisions when forming a squad according to Second.
