Genoveva Casanova reappears after two months in the shadows due to the 'Federico scandal'

Just three days after Queen Margaret announced her abdication and the unexpected coronation of her son Frederick, Genoveva Casanova returns to public life. It will be this Wednesday on TVE, where the special friend of the Danish heir will become one of the 'deluxe' guests in the final of Masterchef Junior.

Cayetano Martínez de Irujo's ex was one of the participants in the last edition Celebrity and the first expelled. She did not attend her own final because she was in the midst of the 'Federico scandal' but she will do so this Wednesday. She will be accompanied by other participants such as Tania Llasera, Álvaro Muñoz Escassi, Laura Londoño, Jesulín de Ubrique, Lorena Castell, Palito Dominguín, Miki Nadal, Raquel Meroño and Saúl Craviotto.

All of them will be diners at the penultimate test prior to the final duel, which will take place at chef Alejandro Serrano's restaurant in Miranda de Ebro, Burgos.

Two months away from the spotlight

It was last November when some photographs published by the magazine Readings It broke the peaceful life of the Mexican woman into a thousand pieces. The images showed the surprising friendship between Genoveva and the Prince Frederick of Denmark, who had traveled to Madrid without her royal escort to spend a night with the philosopher: they walked through El Retiro, had dinner at El Corral de la Morería and slept at her house. The scandal crossed borders and endangered not only the prince's marriage but also his popularity in Denmark and even his succession.

Genoveva was ordered to remain silent and she strictly obeyed: first she took refuge in the Arbaizenea palace of her ex-husband, Cayetano Martínez de Irujo, and then she misled the press with trips to London and Mexico. Before returning to Madrid, she was also seen skiing in Andorra with some of her friends.

Coronation on January 14

The scandal ends in the most unexpected way: the coronation of Frederick of Denmark. The Queen Margaret he announced his abdication in his speech on December 31 and the succession of his first-born son. The ceremony will take place on January 14 at Christianborg Palace.

The monarch's decision responds to two needs: to stop the deterioration in the prince's image and to avoid a divorce with the princesa Marywho demanded to reign by the very fact in exchange for forgiving her husband's last (not only) mistake.
