Gavi: “The signings are here to compete and improve the team”

MADRID, 25 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

FC Barcelona midfielder Pablo Martín Páez Gavira ‘Gavi’ assured this Monday that the new signings of the Catalan team will bring “competence” to the squad and “improve” the level, at the same time that he predicted a “very nice and happy” season.

“The signings are here to compete and improve the team. I’m happy with everything the signings tell me, or the veterans,” said the young footballer in statements to the club’s media collected by Europa Press.

In this sense, Gavi recognized that the arrivals are being very positive for the staff. “We have made very good signings and it has already been seen,” he, the midfielder, declared about the victory in the Clásico played in Las Vegas, with a goal from Raphinha and the debut of Robert Lewandowski as a culé.

The 2022-2023 season will be the Andalusian’s second season in the Barça first team, a course that he faces “the same as the first, but with more experience”, ensuring that the footballers will give “the maximum” to try to fight for the titles.

“I am very happy to tour with the team. I am the first to be excited about that team. I look forward to a very nice and happy season,” settled Gavi, who will turn 18 on August 5.
