It is already a reality: Gaizka Garitano come back to Eibar. The gunsmith team has made official the return of Deiro as coach of the first team for the next two seasons with an optional third. Arrives next to Patxi Ferreira, which already accompanied him in his previous stage.
Garitano took over Eibar's first team in the 12/13 season, when the team was active in Second Division B. That same year he promoted it to Second Division and the 13/14 to First Division. The Biscayan managed to keep the team in the top flight the following season, 14/15, after the administrative relegation of Elche.
After his time at Eibar, Garitano directed Valladolid, Deportivo, Bilbao Athletic and Athletic Club. With the gunsmiths, he led a total of 135 first-team matches, achieving 57 victories, 37 draws and 47 defeats.
In his time as a player, Garitano also defended the Eibar shirt in two stages, 1998 to 1999 and from 2001 to 2005, in which he played 167 games and scored 16 goals.
