FIFA rules in favor of Víctor Ruiz in his dispute with Besiktas

The FIFA has ruled in favor of the interests of Victor Ruiz, central of Real Betis, in the litigation it maintains with the Besiktas and has ordered the Turkish entity to pay compensation of 2.5 million euros to the player, who in August terminated the contract he had with them until 2022 for non-payments, according to Turkish television TRT Spor.

Víctor Ruiz unilaterally terminated his contract with Besiktas, for not having received his salary for three months (March, April and May) during the Turkish league break due to the pandemic, and then he signed for Real Betis, although he could not Play the first two days of the League until the Verdiblanco club received a provisional transfer from FIFA while their dispute is resolved, as Besiktas refused to facilitate it.

Besiktas demanded compensation of two million euros from the footballer for the unilateral breaking of the contract and his subsequent signing by Real Betis and the legal area of ​​the club prepares its defense to appeal this decision before higher instances of FIFA. The president of the Turkish club, Ahmet Nur Cebi, gave his opinion on the matter: “I earned 1.7 million euros in our team. Now he plays for Real Betis and earns 400 thousand euros. In addition, players do not pay taxes in our country ”, he indicated.
