FC Barcelona withdraws from the lawsuit against LaLiga for the CVC agreement

MADRID, 10 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

FC Barcelona has sent a letter to withdraw its claim to LaLiga, which it made together with Real Madrid and Athletic Club against the rest of the clubs as well, due to the employer’s agreement with the CVC venture capital fund.

By means of an ordinary procedure to which Europa Press had access, the Barça team requested the Madrid Court of First Instance number 15 to “withdraw” their claim, “without this affecting Real Madrid and Athletic Club”.

Thus, the culé team requests the “dismissal” of the conflict with LaLiga and its professional clubs, which began together with Madrid and Basques when the Assembly on December 10, 2021 approved the final agreement with CVC, a project called LaLiga Impulso.

The withdrawal of the claim by Barça coincides with a statement from LaLiga this Friday explaining that the known sentence of the Court of First Instance number 47 of Madrid, in which it estimated the claim of the three clubs, affected merely formal issues and ” already remedied”.
