Former tennis player Estrella Cabeza Candela and national referee Cristina Velázquez Serrano joined the Board of Directors of the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation (RFET) this Tuesday, chaired by Miguel Díaz Román.
Cabeza was ranked among the hundred best players in the world in 2013, and her record includes 13 ITF professional titles in a total of 28 finals played, in addition to being proclaimed runner-up in Spain in 2006 and doubles champion on three occasions.
Currently, the former Sevillian tennis player is a national tennis coach and director of the Manolo Cabeza Tennis Club, located in Los Palacios (Seville).
For her part, Velázquez is a national tennis instructor and monitor and national referee since 2010. She is part of the Spanish Committee of Tennis Referees (CEAT) and the Madrid Committee of Tennis Referees (CMAT), and since 2014 she has been on the referee team of the Mutua Madrid Open.
