Eibar-Las Palmas and Alavés-Granada, duels at the top for promotion in LaLiga SmartBank

MADRID, 4 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Eibar-Las Palmas, leader against fifth, and Alavés-Granada, fourth against second, are the top duels in the fight for promotion on the thirty-ninth day of LaLiga SmartBank, which takes place from this Friday until Monday on the weekend of the Copa del Rey final in Seville.

Up to five teams are fighting for direct promotion to LaLiga Santander -Eibar, Granada, Levante, Alavés and Las Palmas- with just three points difference, from the 67 of the group trained by Gaizka Garitano to the 64 of the canary, in a straight final of the championship of the tightest in history.

The program will open this Friday (9:00 p.m.) with Alavés-Granada, both tied at 65 points and who could be placed as provisional leaders pending Eibar-Las Palmas, with which it concludes on Monday. Attentive to a possible setback will be Levante, who visits Tenerife.

Further away are Albacete and Cartagena, sixth and seventh with 59 and 57 points respectively and the best placed to achieve the last place to play the ‘play-off’ for promotion. The La Mancha team will travel to the field of the descended Ibiza, while the Cartagena host Burgos.

On the other hand, with Lugo and Ibiza already relegated to the First RFEF, Ponferradina faces Málaga this Sunday (4:15 p.m.) in Toralín in a key match for both to achieve permanence in the category.
