An earthquake is coming in the mornings of TVE. The public chain will apply far-reaching changes in this slot for next season and the first affected is Speaking clearthe program presented by Lourdes Maldonado and Marc Calderó… until now.
As you may have learned Informalia exclusively, RTVE has closed the signing of Jaime Cantizano to present the new season of this magazine. The communicator, who leads the weekend mornings on Onda Cero, will replace Lourdes Maldonado and Marc Calderó, who are leaving Speaking clear after one season. The first came to La 1 from Telemadrid and the second joined after leaving it’s already noon (Telecinco).
The changes do not stop there, because José Pablo López, director of Contents for RTVE, has stopped the production of Speaking clear to Cuarzo (Grupo Banijay) to deliver it to La Cometa, which will fully enter the grid of La 1 through this daily current affairs space. With these movements, the public hopes to reinforce the morning slot to improve its discrete results (the program is around 7%) and take advantage of the ‘troubled river’ that will mean the departure of Ana Rosa from Telecinco mornings.
Curiously, the arrival of Cantizano will cause a curious fact, since it must be remembered that the journalist was one of Ana Rosa’s pupils (Where are you Love?) and now he will compete against the program that his ex-boss will produce through Unicorn in the mornings of Telecinco and that will be presented by Joaquín Prat. But there is more: Cantizano is the announcer for Onda Cero (Atresmedia) and sometimes collaborates with Public mirrorfrom that same group. Starting in September, however, he will be Susanna Griso’s rival.
La Cometa replaces Cuarzo in ‘Hablando Claro’
The change from Cuarzo to La Cometa occurs at a time when several new television projects are being redefined on practically all the channels, as befits this time of year. Cuarzo is the production company that since this week has been making This is life for Telecinco and is also in charge of the island of temptations or the program that will replace the Deluxe. It belongs to the Banijay group which, as we explained, is one of the big winners of the cast of the grid of the ‘new’ Mediaset through its numerous production companies (Zeppelin, Gestmusic, Shine Iberia or the aforementioned Quarzo).
For its part, La Cometa recently premiered on La 1 the program Spaniards in conflict, with Almudena Ariza. The main business of La Cometa, which recently signed Eduardo Blanco, a television legend (As is, It’s happening, The Seeker, The mornings of Four), is on Telemadrid (Juntos, Dos en la carretera) and on other regional channels, such as ETB or the Valencian À Punt.
