Dyego Sousa renews until 2024

Almería announced the renewal of Dyego Sousa, whose contract expired next June. The Brazilian extends his bond for two more seasons, as a result of the performance he has given with the red and white shirt. Despite having played just three league games as a starter, He has made his minutes profitable, with half a dozen goals and another five assists. The news becomes official the week in which he will return to the starting lineup due to the loss of Umar Sadiq, concentrated with the Nigerian team. Sousa’s will be one of the proper names in the duel against Girona, especially after extending his contract until 2024

One day before his presentation, Rubi commented in the press room of the Mediterranean Games Stadium that the new striker had eight months without touching a ball, asking for patience with Sousa. Already in form, he has proven to be the best substitute that the UDA has had in recent years for that position. The second oldest footballer in the Almeria squad (only surpassed by Carriço) has not only contributed so far this season that very own spirit, infecting teammates and fans, but also being decisive with goals and assists.
