MADRID, 3 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Montenegrin center of Valencia Basket, Bojan Dubljevic, has been chosen ‘MVP Movistar’ of the Endesa League in April, after averaging a PIR of 23.5 in the four games he has played with his team, allowing him to win this award for the second time in his career, after April 2017.
Dubljevic’s averages during the month have been 15.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.5 blocks and 4.5 fouls received, for a total PIR of 23.5 in the four games he played, allowing the ‘taronja’ team to win three of them and settle in the ‘playoffs’ area.
After a tough month of March, in which the Montenegrin suffered a sprained knee, his start to April was brilliant, with 17 points, including three three-pointers, and 9 rebounds in the win against Real Betis. In the next duel, despite contributing 13 points and 14 rebounds, he could not avoid the defeat of his team against UCAM Murcia.
The man from Montenegro found his most complete version to help his team in the victory against Suurne Bilbao Basket, with 13 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks, 1 steal and a PIR of 23, and closed the month with his best performance in the victory against Obradoiro with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists for a PIR of 28.
With these averages, the Valencia Basket legend maintains his pursuit of John Pinone as the foreigner with the most PIR points (5,117) in the history of the Spanish league, only 554 behind the legendary American center of Estudiantes.
