First appointment of the week’s agenda for Mrs. Letizia. Together with her husband, Don Felipe, she traveled to Las Palmas to present the 2023 National Innovation and Design Awards. It took place in the Canary Islands capital, in the Miller building, this Thursday, April 11. This visit coincided with the hospital admission of Doña Sofía, who is under observation at the Ruber Clinic in Madrid for a urinary tract infection. Yesterday, Wednesday, the King approached the hospital. He was alone, without Letizia. Shortly afterward she visited her mother, Infanta Elena.
The Kings presented the awards to people, companies, institutions and organizations that have made innovation an essential element for the development of their professional strategy and growth. They were accompanied by the Minister of Innovation, Diana Morant.
For this event, the Queen has composed a very simple outfit, in spring and happy tones. A two-tone in white and coral pink: white goes on the top; and coral, in a tailored capri-cut trouser suit with pleats. She has combined the suit with slingback shoes with a mid-heel bracelet.
Upon arrival at the event, the Kings were received by the neighbors, who were waiting in the street on a day in the middle of summer in Las Palmas.
