Djokovic will lead Serbia in the Davis Cup Group Stage in Valencia

The tennis player Novak Djokovic will lead Serbia in the Group Phase of the Davis Cup Finals, which will take place in Valencia from September 12 to 17, a Balkan team that will be a rival in group C of the Spanish team, with Carlos Alcaraz at the head, Czech Republic and South Korea.

As announced by the Serbian Tennis Federation on Monday, the number two in the world will be the reference in a team also made up of Laslo Djere, Miomir Kecmanovic, Dusan Lajovic and Hamad Medjedovic, a list drawn up by captain Viktor Troicki.

Spain and Serbia will seek, together with South Korea and the Czech Republic, from September 12 to 17 in the Valencian city, the pass to the Final 8 of the competition, which will be held from November 21 to 26 in Malaga and which will be accessed by the two best of each group.

The qualifiers are played to the best of three, with two individual matches and one doubles. Serbia will debut on September 12 against South Korea. On the 15th the duel against Spain will take place, in which Alcaraz and Djokovic will meet at the first point of the series, and the Serbs will close their division on the 16th against the Czechs.
