According to legal sources, the 21st section of the Barcelona Court has summoned the footballer at 10:30 a.m., so he will have to be taken in a police van to the court from the Brians prison, where he recently He was placed in provisional prison for more than a year. In addition to Alves, the attorneys for the footballer's defense and the private prosecution filed by the victim must appear to deliver the sentence.

Along with the sentence, the court resolves the request for provisional release raised by the footballer's lawyer, Inés Guardiola, at the end of the trial, which was held between February 5 and 7. The Prosecutor's Office is asking for nine years in prison for the Brazilian international, whom they accuse of the crime of sexual assault for raping a 23-year-old girl in the bathroom of a booth at the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona on the night of December 30, 2022.

For its part, the private prosecution, carried out by the lawyer Ester García, requests twelve years in prison and the same compensation as the Prosecutor's Office, of 150,000 euros. The player's defense, which denies the rape, asks the court to acquit him or, alternatively, sentence him to one year in prison for sexual assault.
