Daniel Siebert will direct the Georgia-Spain on Friday

MADRID, 6 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The German referee Daniel Siebert has been appointed by UEFA to lead this Friday the match between the teams of Georgia and Spain, corresponding to the qualifying phase for next year’s Euro Cup in Germany.

As indicated by the national team, the referee will be assisted in bands by his compatriots Jan Seidel and Rafael Foltyn, while the Germans Marco Frtiz will be in the VOR room as VAR and Pascal Müller as assistant.

Siebert, 39, already knows what it is to whistle a match against Spain in the Georgian capital, although in this case it was the Under-19 team, which at that time was led by the current senior coach Luis de la Fuente. The German was in the last World Cup in Qatar where he whistled the Uruguay-Ghana that ended with the elimination of the two-time world champion, very angry for not signaling a possible penalty on Edinson Cavani.
