New information continues to emerge regarding the case of daniel sancho (29), who confessed to having murdered the Colombian surgeon Edwin Arrieta (44) and having dismembered his body to hide his remains. This Monday, the son of Rodolfo Sancho and grandson of Sancho Gracia entered provisional prison.

“Until now we knew that Edwin had threatened to show compromising photographs of Daniel if he broke up with him. That is, at least, what had been published in the Thai press,” recalled the Thailand correspondent for Antena 3, Adrian Foncillasthis Thursday in the Susanna Griso program.

Then, he added a new piece of information: “They have told us here that, in the chats that they have recovered from Daniel’s phone, Edwin is also read threatening to kill him if he finally decided to break up with him.”

Sancho is accused of premeditated murder and of dismembering the victim’s body into pieces to hide his remains. The chef confessed to being the author of the murder of Arrieta, which occurred last week in a hotel on the island of Koh Phangan. This Monday, August 7, Daniel entered provisional prison, in Koh Samui.

Rodolfo Sancho, who traveled to Thailand with his son’s mother, Silvia Bronchalo, already sent a statement this Sunday, August 6, asking for “maximum respect for his son and for the whole family.” This Thursday, the family has spoken again with another note sent to the media: “We are very sorry for the death of Edwin and we accompany his family in our feelings (…) We appreciate the interest of the press, but we cannot make statements at this time so as not to interfere in the investigation and to respect the very painful moment that both families are experiencing in this terrible situation that we have had to live”.
