Dani Olmo gives the German Super Cup to Leipzig and bitter Harry Kane’s debut with Bayern

MADRID, 12 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

RB Leipzig, with a hat-trick from Spanish international Dani Olmo, has won the German Super Cup for the first time in its history after thrashing Bayern Munich in the final held at the Allianz Arena this Saturday, which saw the English Harry Kane’s debut with the Bavarian team.

Barely three minutes from the initial whistle it took the Terrassa forward to score, who caught a loose ball after a clearance from the Munich defense for a free kick hung into the area and sent it into the back of the net.

Before half an hour, Thomas Tuchel’s men were about to neutralize the initial goal with a shot from Simakan towards his own goal that repelled the post, and less than ten minutes later came Olmo’s response; he stood up to De Ligt and surpassed him with a magnificent backhand that allowed him to be left alone against Ulreich to beat him from below (min.44).

The Catalan still had time to complete his hat-trick after a handball from Mazraoui inside the area, making it 0-3 from the penalty spot. With this, he eclipsed the debut with the Bavarians of Harry Kane, who jumped onto the field in the 63rd minute.
