Dani Alves will remain in prison: the judge dismisses the probation after the footballer’s voluntary declaration

The footballer has burned the penultimate cartridge to get out of prison. After requesting a voluntary statement in court, which took place on April 17, and finally admitting that there was sexual intercourse with penetration at the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona, the judge in the case has dismissed the request for provisional release.

The Investigating Court number 15 of Barcelona argues, once again, that there is “flight risk”the main reason for ordering his entry into jail on January 20, but they also point out that the last statement of Dani Alves (the volunteer) is full of contradictions, while that of the complainant has been persistent throughout all this time compared to that of the player.

The judicial order questions the documentary evidence of Alves’ lawyers about the viewing of the cameras, since the defense makes him “go through a reconstruction” of what happened that night “that has nothing to do” with what the victim denounced. and that demonstrate the various evidences provided to the court. There is, he points out, “signs of criminality”.

Finally, he insists that the risk of flight persists as Alves has dual nationality, Spanish and Brazilian, and can go to his country, Brazil, where there are no extradition agreements. In addition, it is remembered that he is before a “imminent divorce” of the model Joana Sanz for his infidelity.

This is the second time that Alves’ defense has requested the release of his client and it has been denied. They can file another appeal but there are few aces up their sleeves and everything indicates that the former Barça footballer will have to wait in prison for the arrival of the trial, scheduled for this summer.

a small victory

Not everything has been bad news for Alves this Tuesday. The hearing has authorized the alleged victim of the alleged sexual assault committed by the footballer on December 30 to be examined by a doctor designated by Alves’ defense, as Cristóbal Martell and the rest of the team had requested.

The soccer player is having a very bad time in prison, as he receives serious insults from the rest of the inmates, such as “faggot” or “rapist”. Some prisoners have slipped that he is “isolated and very emaciated.” His family and friends visit him every Sunday, including his wife, who went to Brians II last Sunday to congratulate the player on his 40th birthday.
