Dani Alves planned to escape to Brazil as soon as he was released on parole

The former FC Barcelona player has already been in prison for 14 months after a judge, in January 2023, decreed his entry without bail. Up to three times he has requested the defense of his parole for Dani Alves and all three have been denied. Neither family roots, nor delivery of the passport, nor telematic bracelet: nothing has changed the judge's mind. This Friday, the reasons have been discovered: Dani Alves himself spoke about his intention to escape.

He did it with his cellmate, who quickly told the prison officials so they could report it. According to the program FiestaDani Alves commented on several occasions that would march to Brazil, his native country, as soon as he obtained parole or his first permit. Hence, the judge withdrew his passport and denied the continued attempts by the footballer's defense to get him out of prison.

“I have lost everything”

The trial for the alleged sexual assault carried out by Alves on December 30, 2022 at the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona began on February 5 and lasted three days. The accused testified last, after the victim and the witnesses, and insisted on his innocence. He claimed that sexual relations had been “spoiled” and he even pointed out that it was the girl who took the lead at all times.

The footballer alleged that he had consumed a lot of alcohol that night and revealed, through tears, that he is completely ruined after having lost his contract with the Pumas of Mexico and all his sports sponsorships: “I have lost everything: my contract with the Pumas, the sponsorships , advertising… Everything”. The case is being heard for sentencing. The Prosecutor's Office requests nine years in prison for the Brazilian.
