Damián Ramos and Ricardo Ten, European Paralympic cycling champions

MADRID, 19 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish cyclists Damián Ramos and Ricardo Ten were proclaimed European Paralympic cycling champions this Saturday at the event that is taking place in Rotterdam (Netherlands) in the road events, while Maurice Eckhard (C2) added a bronze.

After the eight time trial medals on Friday, the second day of competition continued the Spanish harvest, especially with the titles for the Galician (C4) and the Valencian (C1) for the online tandem and bicycle trials.

In the C1 category, Ten once again exhibited himself as in his gold the day before and soon took down his rivals to add the continental title to the World Cup silver a few days ago in Galsgow. In C2 came the bronze for Eckhard alone, with a prize for his attack.

For his part, in C4, Damián Ramos left an incredible career, fighting with the Slovakian Patrik Kuril and the Frenchman Gatien Le Rousseau, to celebrate the victory early. The team technicians warned Ramos that there was one more lap left and he did not forgive with a new sprint to be champion.
