MADRID, 17 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Belgian footballer Thibaut Courtois, Real Madrid goalkeeper, has undergone surgery successfully for his tear in the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee, as reported by the Merengue club on Thursday.

Through a press release, Real Madrid has indicated that Courtois’s operation had been carried out by Dr. Manuel Leyes, “under the supervision of the Medical Services” of the Madrid club itself.

Thus, Real Madrid has specified that the Belgian goalkeeper “will begin his recovery process in the coming days.” Courtois suffered this injury on August 10 during training, which has led to the signing of Kepa Arrizabalaga as a substitute.
