ProLiga, the association that brings together 240 clubs of Second B and Third, has said in a statement that legally support the dozens of clubs of this last category who have been surprised to stay out of financial aid provided in the bases of the 2019/20 calls for having played the current Copa del Rey.
This collective refers to the provisional resolution of the RFEF of the past from 10 that does not include modest who were not in Third in the 2018/19 campaign.
ProLiga understands that the affected clubs meet all the required formal requirements and have played a Cup qualifier in the current campaign, so it indicates that “they do not go out of their astonishment” when observing that the RFEF has published a resolution on granting aid in which those Third Clubs that last season militarized in a lower category will be entitled to receive them.
“In a review of the general and specific requirements issued by the RFEF before starting the competition, there is no condition related to the fact that in order to be a beneficiary of Club grants that participate in the Copa del Rey in the 2019/2020 Season, they must having played in the Third Division in the 2018/2019 Season. There is no reference to the exclusion of Clubs for not having played in the Third Division in the 2018/2019 Season, “says ProLiga.
“Ms an, in view of the data published by RFEF itself on its official website on the aid granted this season for participating in the Cup, the total amount allocated is 693,100 euros, when what was budgeted in the Program was 1,191,000 euros. Therefore, ProLiga, in the defense of the rights of the clubs, demand to cancel the resolution dated January 10, as well as to distribute the money among all the participating Third Clubs without exclusion and, at the same time, the full distribution of the money budgeted before starting the competition, “the communiqué of this group ends.
