The trophy will remain on display this Monday and Tuesday at the Atocha station

Thousands of commuters from Cercanías Madrid who pass through Atocha station every day will be able to take pictures this Monday and Tuesday with the EuroBasket Cup won by the Spanish basketball team after defeating France in the final, played on September 18 in Berlin .
The president of Renfe, Isaías Táboas, and the general director of the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB), Óscar Graefenhain, together with the FEB ambassador Fernando Romay, have been photographed with the trophy, exhibited during these two days in the foyer of the Atocha Cercanías station.
Renfe, which is the Official Transport of the Spanish men’s and women’s basketball teams, promotes the use of the railway among athletes as a more sustainable means of transport, within the framework of the ‘El Tren del Deporte Español’ program, together with the Higher Sports Council (CSD).
By virtue of the collaboration agreement signed with the FEB, Renfe facilitates transportation on High Speed and Long Distance trains, throughout the national territory, to the members of the Spanish basketball team.
The agreement grants Renfe the status of official supplier for rail transport for the FEB and for the men’s and women’s national basketball teams, in any of their categories. Likewise, the company has the right to make advertising inserts in all the televised matches of the absolute men’s and women’s basketball teams, which are played in Spain and are organized by the FEB.
