The Minister of Health of the Community of Madrid, Fátima Matute, has conveyed this Monday on her behalf and that of the regional government her congratulations to the Spanish women’s soccer team for their recent victory as world champions in the World Cup held in Australia.
“They are fantastic and they deserve it,” he stressed in statements to the media at the Ministry of Health in which he also encouraged them to join the celebrations for the Women’s Soccer World Cup this Monday that will take place tonight in Madrid.
“I want to congratulate them effusively. For me it is a source of pride and for the Community of Madrid, as the president Isabel Día Ayuso has stated, it is a source of pride that our Spanish team has won and that it also carries the name of Spain on the podium”, he highlighted.
Along these lines, he has encouraged “all Madrid residents, all Spaniards” to celebrate “this triumph of all our girls, these fighters who are a source of pride and who have managed to give us joy and talk about Spain.” To those who cannot attend, she has said, she has urged them to “send them energy, send them energy and love” because “they are fantastic and they deserve it”.
