“Playing in the United red at Old Trafford will be an incredible feeling”

MADRID, 15 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Danish international player Christian Eriksen will play for Manchester United in the Premier League for the next three seasons, following the agreement reached between the ‘red devils’ and the midfielder, who arrives on a free transfer after passing through Brentford.

“Manchester United are pleased to confirm that Christian Eriksen has joined the club, signing a contract until June 2025,” the Manchester club announced.

Internationalized 115 times by Denmark, Eriksen has played a total of 237 games in the Premier League, a league he knows perfectly, with a total of 52 goals and 71 assists between Brentford and Tottenham.

“Manchester United is a special club and I can’t wait to get started. I’ve had the privilege of playing at Old Trafford many times, but doing it in a United red shirt will be an incredible feeling,” Eriksen told the media.

He will report to the new ‘red devil’ coach, the Dutchman Erik Ten Hag. “I have seen Erik’s work at Ajax and I know the level of detail and preparation he puts into every day. It is clear that he is a fantastic manager. Having spoken to him and learned more about his vision and the way he wants me to play the team, I am even more excited for the future,” he acknowledged.

For his part, Manchester United’s director of football, John Murtough, assured that Eriksen, who overcame a heart attack in the last EURO and felt like a footballer again thanks to Brentford after a forced break, is one of the “best” in his position .

“It is no surprise that he has had so many options this summer, so we are very happy that he is convinced that this is the right club for him. In addition to his excellent technique, Christian will add valuable experience and leadership skills to the team, and We look forward to seeing these benefits on the field next season and beyond.”
