MADRID, 2 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Chipiona CF player Paco Naval, 24, was stabbed to death on Saturday in the Cadiz municipality of Chipiona, while the alleged murderer, a 20-year-old, is in custody awaiting trial.

As detailed by the Civil Guard in a statement, around 2:00 p.m. this past Saturday a man attacked another, both from Chipiona, inserting a large knife into his chest.

The victim was taken to the hospital in Sanlúcar de Barrameda and Jerez de la Frontera. Given the seriousness of the injuries, he had to be transferred by helicopter to the Puerta del Mar hospital in Cádiz, where he died around 2:30 a.m. this Sunday. The author is detained in police stations waiting to be brought before a court of law.

This Sunday, the Royal Andalusian Football Federation (RFAF) confirmed the fatal outcome. “From the RFAF and Andalusian football we convey our deepest condolences on the death of the player Paco Naval from Chipiona CF to all his relatives, close friends, as well as the entire family of the Cadiz club,” he said.
