Chelsea think of Berta as replacement for Marina Granovskaia

The newspaper Bild It has dawned with information this morning that felt like an earthquake at the foot of the Wanda Metropolitano. Marina Granovskaia, sports director of Chelsea and Roman Abramovich’s right-hand man during his years as owner of the ‘blues’, in addition to important part of the negotiations for the sale of the club, could leave his position in August. After the purchase of the club by Todd Boehly, the sanctions of the British government have been lifted and, with it, the impediment to signing. Bild It goes further and names the substitute that the English club manages. And here are the aftershocks of that earthquake that affects the club led by Miguel Ángel Gil. The chosen one is Andrea Bertaat the head of the rojiblanca sports area since 2017, although, before, when that position was held by José Luis Pérez Caminero, he already served as technical director.

Berta has been with the rojiblanco club for nine years: she arrived in 2013 from Genoa to work in the international scouting area and, later, go to the technical management of the club. Architect of the red and white squad, one of the three men who decide on signings and transfers (the other two are Miguel Ángel Gil and Simeone himself), it is not the first time that a big European club wants him. Since 2017 it is Al Khelaïfi’s obsession and object of desire of his PSG that this summer, by the way, he could try his incorporation again as a substitute for Leonardo.

Present and future at Atlético…

A few weeks ago he received in Italy the prize ‘Maestrelli Award‘ as the best technical director, in recognition of his work and thanked him with a speech in which he spoke of the future plans… of Atlético, while assessing the growth of the team and the squad in the last decade. “When you win important things, the following year you always lose something, perhaps in terms of motivation. You can’t always win and now you have to start over”, he declared to ‘Calciomercato’. “For us the important thing will be to continue with this squad, which has value, with players who have a great future. For the market to start, we will have to wait“, he added. A summer in which his name is also on other agendas, from big clubs, as a coveted object of desire.
