Cervera: “You have to attack the counterattack and not so much with the ball”

Alvaro Cervera, coach of the Cadiz, considered that the ambition of his team in the first half ended up hurting him against a Celta de Vigo who sentenced for his “tremendous” effectiveness.

“The game with the best numbers in attack of the entire season and we haven't scored and they have scored four. That is my analysis of the game. People still think that they have to attack a lot, and it is not like that. He Celtic he arrived four times in the first half and scored four goals and we arrived the same times and didn't score, ”he said.

The coach of the Cadiz team warned that the first part has been “the opposite” of what he believes his team has to do to stay in LaLiga Santander.

“Our game does not mean scoring more goals than the rival but because they don't score us. When we go up to score, they usually score us because we defend with fewer people. The numbers are very good but they are not worth it ”, he insisted.

In this sense, he pointed out that “the more we get to the opposite goal, the more they reach us. When we attack with the ball we usually have problems, and that happened to us today with the second goal. That is what we have to avoid, and that happens by attacking more on the counterattack and not so much with the ball ”.
