MADRID, 28 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Brazilian footballer Jailson Marques Siqueira, 28 years old and from Palmeiras, has become RC Celta's first signing this Thursday during the winter market, which will start on January 2.

Born on September 7, 1995 in Caçapava do Sul, Jailson has joined the light blue team with a contract until June 30, 2025, plus an optional campaign. “Jailson is a versatile midfielder, aggressive without the ball, with great intuition to steal and good handling of the ball,” indicated the Vigo entity on its website.

“He comes from the Brazilian League champion, Palmeiras, with whom he played 28 games this season. He also has experience in Europe, having played two seasons for Fenerbahçe,” added the press release, alluding to Jailson's time in Turkey.

“The midfielder arrives at Celta with a great track record, since in addition to two League titles he was champion of the Brazilian Cup and Copa Libertadores, twice of the Recopa Sudamericana, of the Gaúcho and Paulista Championships on two occasions and of the Super Cup from Brazil, the note highlighted.

Jailson, who arrives free in Vigo, began his career at Gremio de Porto Alegre, from where he was transferred to Fenerbahçe. “From the Turkish team he made the jump to the Chinese League, in Dalian, to return to Brazil and join Palmeiras, where he played the last two seasons,” said Celta.

“With the arrival of the Brazilian, Celta reinforces its midfield with a player with extensive experience, great physical display and good ball handling,” concluded the celestial press release.
