Casper Ruud champion of the Gstaad Tournament after defeating Gaston

There was no room for surprises in the final of the Gstaad Tournament and Casper Ruud beat Hugo Gaston (6-3 and 6-2) with solvency.

Casper Ruud was proclaimed champion just one week after winning the Bastad Tournament against Argentine Federico Coria. The Norwegian tennis player, number 14 in the ATP ranking, displayed great tennis in a match in which he was very solvent and in which saved nine of the ten breakpoints available to Gaston. The Frenchman, one of the biggest revelations of the tournament after eliminating three seeds such as Delbonis, Garín and Djere, did not leave the game at any time and faced a Casper Ruud who suffered more in the second set.

In the first, Ruud broke the Frenchman's serve up to two times, and in the second, he put the game on track at the first exchange with a new break.

With this victory over Gaston, The Norwegian has 4 titles on his record, all of them ATP 250 and all on clay. For its part, Gaston loses his second consecutive final, after his defeat against Czech Kolar in the final of the Challenger in Iasi (Romania).
