Don Felipe has been at the head of the Head of State for ten years. For this reason, Casa Real has created the X Anniversary emblem that will be in force for one year. It is one more symbol of this commemoration whose big day is Wednesday, June 19. Attached is the motto: “Service, commitment and duty.”
Zarzuela’s new design integrates different constitutive signs: first, the coat of arms of Felipe VI, institutional symbol – which is regulated by Royal Decree 527/2014, of June 20, 2014, which modifies the Regulation of Flags and Standards, Hyphens, Badges and Distinctives, approved by Royal Decree 1511/1977, of January 21 ; second, the 10th Anniversary message. And along with the message, the motto “service, commitment and duty.” The font used for this new emblem is “Ibarra”, in upper case (upper case) and in lower case (lower case), and using the color crimson in the background. The House attaches two more versions: in white and black.
With this new emblem the day of festive commemorative events begins. Felipe VI presides. Along with the head of state, Doña Letizia and her daughters, Leonor and Sofía. The President of the Government and the highest authorities of the State also attend. This is the outline of the program.
At 11:20. Plaza de la Armería of the Royal Palace of Madrid. At that point the arrival of the Royal Family occurs. Don Felipe will preside over the Solemn Relief of the Royal Guard with units from the three Armies and the Civil Guard. A military act of changing the guards of the incoming troops by the outgoing one, which will be witnessed by the Kings and their daughters from one of the palace balconies. It will last about 40 minutes.
12.20. Gasparini Saleta del Palacio. Don Felipe, Doña Letizia and their daughters receive greetings from the authorities and those awarded the Order of Civil Merit.
12.30. Hall of Palace Columns. As in previous anniversaries (in 2015, 2019 and 2021), Don Felipe celebrates this great day by presenting 19 anonymous citizens (one for each autonomous community plus Ceuta and Melilla) with medals that recognize their work and effort for the common good in their different fields of work, education, research or society.
1:30 p.m. Lunch offered by the Kings and their daughters to the authorities. The meal is served in the gala dining room of the Royal Palace.
19.15. Gallery of the Royal Collections. The Princess of Asturias and Infanta Sofía visit the National Heritage collection. The daughters of the Kings will interview young people of their generation, between 17 and 20 years old. María Dueñas will be in charge of showing you the museum center.
