Carlos Rodríguez signs with INEOS Grenadiers until 2027

The Spanish cyclist Carlos Rodríguez has been protected by the INEOS Grenadiers with a contract extension until 2027, in an agreement that will allow the 22-year-old from Almuñécar to continue improving and fighting to achieve “good results more frequently” in the British team , with whom he has already achieved three stage victories.

“Since becoming ‘Grenadier’ ​​in 2020, Carlos has demonstrated extraordinary talent and potential: he backed up his brave performance in the 2022 Vuelta a España with a memorable stage win on his debut in the 2023 Tour de France, finishing in an impressive fifth place overall,” INEOS highlighted from the Spanish in a statement.

With the British team, Carlos Rodríguez was seventh in La Vuelta 2022 and, far from leaving his good performance in a ‘Grande’ as an anecdote, he finished fifth overall in the last Tour de France 2023 – winning stage 14 -, being the best of the INEOS despite the fact that he did not start as the leader of the formation.

GERAINT THOMAS, RENEWED UNTIL 2025

On the other hand, veteran Geraint Thomas also renewed with INEOS Grenadiers until 2025. The Welshman, 37, signed a new agreement that will take him, if fulfilled, up to 16 seasons with the team, which he joined in 2010. and of which it is already an “icon”.

“I’m really delighted to extend my time as a member of the INEOS Grenadiers. I still love cycling and training with the boys, every aspect of it,” Thomas said. “Although never say never, in my head this is my last contract, but I know I still have two great years ahead of me,” he said.
