MADRID, 9 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish tennis player Roberto Carballés won the Marrakech (Morocco) tournament this Sunday by coming back (4-6, 7-6(3), 6-2) the French Alexandre Muller in the final of the ATP 250 event, the second title of his record after that of Quito in 2018.

The 30-year-old canary and new number 49 in the world, once again tasted success without failing in what was his second ATP final. A two out of two in decisive matches that Carballés had to sweat, forcing the third set in the ‘tie-break’ of the second set.

The Frenchman, who already fell with the Tenerife native in 2019 at Roland Garros, gave up at the start of the tiebreaker, worn out by the exchange and losing his first kick to redouble the confidence of the Spaniard. Carballés was launched for the title with a definitive 6-2 after three hours of battle.

In addition, in Estoril (Portugal), the Norwegian Casper Ruud lifted the tenth trophy of his record, all since 2020 and on clay, with the victory (6-2, 7-6(3)) over the Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic in the final .
