Can Dani Alves get out of jail? The imminent hearing of him before the Court that will mark his future

The appointment is this Tuesday, March 19 at the Barcelona Court, at 9:00 in the morning. It will be a hearing to decide whether Dani Alves is released or kept in prison. This view, according to EFE and TVE, has been set after his defense requested the player’s release until the conviction for raping a young woman is final.

Alves was sentenced to four years and six months in prison, in addition to five years of supervised release, removal and incommunicado detention of the victim for 9 years and 6 months; as well as a compensation of 150,000 euros and the payment of the costs of the process, for a crime of sexual assault of a young woman at the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona on December 30, 2022.

His lawyer, Inés Guardiola, after the conviction, announced that they were going to file an appeal to the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia.

The lawyer’s request involves requesting that her client be released from Brian 2 prison on provisional release, something that has been denied to the Brazilian soccer player on several occasions due to the high risk of escape. Alves, 41, is about to serve a quarter of his sentence.
