Burgos prepares the fifth stop of LaLiga Genuine Santander 2022/23

Burgos Club de Fútbol has opened the doors of the Municipal Stadium El Plantío to celebrate the arrival of the fifth stop of the 2022/23 season of LaLiga Genuine Santander, with the traditional opening ceremony this Friday.

Daniel de la Rosa, mayor of Burgos, welcomed the 22 teams to the city, accompanied by Julián Alonso, president of the Burgos CF Foundation; Clemente Villaverde, president of the LaLiga FOUNDATION, and Marcelino Maté, president of the Castilla y León Football Federation.

“Football is a vehicle in which emotions and illusions are embarked to make us happier. That is the essence of LaLiga Genuine Santander,” said De la Rosa.

Likewise, Clemente Villaverde, president of the LaLiga FOUNDATION, has taken the opportunity to reaffirm what makes this competition unique. “LaLiga Genuine Santander is more than just playing football, it is a project that recovers the true passion for sport. Never lose your passion”, he stated.

The president of the Castilla y León Football Federation, Marcelino Maté, wanted to “congratulate LaLiga for this initiative”, which “is so important because it has an extremely positive impact on its protagonists”.

Lastly, Julián Alonso, president of the Burgos CF Foundation, spoke about the importance of projects such as LaLiga Genuine Santander, because of all that they can teach society. “I would encourage all the fans of the clubs to come to your matches to learn about what is truly important in football,” he said.

Subsequently, the captains of these teams have jumped onto the pitch to receive, with an honorary corridor, the players of Burgos CF and CD Leganés, before their match corresponding to matchday number 40 of LaLiga SmartBank.

On May 13 and 14, nearly 300 players will face each other in a total of 33 matches that will take place at the Ciudad Deportiva Promesas Burgos 2000, where the last competition points and Fair Play of the 3rd phase of the this season.
