Burgos fits but wins and stays third

MADRID, 16 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Burgos conceded their first goal of the season and their goal José Antonio Caro was sent off, but they beat Mirandés (2-1) to remain third in LaLiga SmartBank after matchday eleven, a strong pace that Cartagena maintains, thanks to 2- 0 on the Ibiza.

The Castilian team added a new feat at the start of the season beating Mirandés despite playing with one less from the 28th minute. Caro received a red card for preventing a visiting goal with a hand outside the area, seeing their historic unbeaten streak come to a halt.

Burgos had already gone ahead through Gaspar Campos and held on until a crazy long discount. Marcos Paulo made it 1-1 but Mourad, at 101, left the three points at El Plantío. Those from Calero add up to 21, two behind the leader Las Palmas.

Meanwhile, Cartagena remains fourth with 20, thanks to goals from Calero and Sadiku in the second half, from more to less an Ibiza by Javier Baraja that is beginning to approach the relegation zone.

In addition, Granada fell out of the promotion zone, surpassed this Sunday by Tenerife (2-0). The goals from Romero and Enric Gallego, from a penalty, cut off the dynamic of adding Karanka’s and kept the Canaries away from the red zone.

Below is a Leganés who, after two victories, gave in (2-1) to Levante in the middle of the table, who will have Javi Calleja as their new coach for their next game. Meanwhile, La Rosaleda enjoyed a victory that seemed jinxed last year, with a 3-2 against Lugo that was comfortable until they ended up suffering, both teams in the relegation zone.
