According to The TelegraphThe Palace hopes it will be “a natural transition” on the part of the public and the media, just as it was with the consorts of monarchs in the past, including the Queen Mother.

There was a time when honoring the stepmother of Guillermo y Harry with the royal title would have been controversial to some, however, in the 17 years since her marriage to the ex-husband of Diana Spencer it has managed to win over many fans and has received a positive response from the British. Now, Camilla is considered by many to be one of the most popular members of the Royal Family.

In fact, it was her own Isabel II which, in the middle of the acts for her Platinum Jubilee, expressed her wish that her son’s wife would become queen consort once she died and Carlos assumed the throne. Camilla said she was “very honored and touched” by her mother-in-law’s seal of approval.
