Bellingham: “I’m looking forward to the trophies we win as a team”

MADRID, 31 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Real Madrid’s English midfielder, Jude Bellingham, was “very happy” for having been recognized this Monday at the Ballon d’Or gala with the Kopa Trophy for the best Under-21 footballer of the 2022-2023 season, but he warned that “what he wants is the trophies that are achieved as a team.”

“I’m very happy. There’s a lot of work behind it every day to try to do things well every weekend. I’m very proud, it’s nice to see that people appreciate and value your work,” Bellingham stressed to ‘Realmadrid TV’ after receiving the award in Paris.

The international believes that this award “means a lot because people recognize your work and it has been a good year.” “But what matters most to me are the trophies won with the team. Opinions and votes matter here, and I look forward to what we achieve as a team and for the fans to enjoy success,” he stressed.

“My heart was coming out of my chest, I didn’t even know what to say, I was a little nervous and I didn’t have anything prepared. I have remembered my family and the people who are with me every day. 2023 has been a good year, very special “I have signed for the biggest team in the world, which is a big family. I want to remain this strong for my teammates, fans and club employees and I hope we win titles this season,” said Bellingham.
