Belén Esteban talks about her future and that of La Fábrica de la Tele after the death of ‘Save me’: “The door is not closed”

Belén Esteban has launched this Friday, May 26, her new product proposal for ‘Sabores de la Esteban’: her traditional gazpacho in cardboard. Ideal for the summer. The event took place in the heart of Madrid. In the environment, the uncertainty about her professional future after the cancellation of Save mewhich will stop broadcasting on June 23 after fourteen years on the air.

The princess of the town has begun the act very emotional, wrapped in tears, because before starting she has received a message from her mother, María del Carmen Sánchez Menéndez. “Good luck, daughter, your mother wishes you. I love you. If your father saw you, we would both be sitting in the front row. We love you very much,” she wrote, as she read aloud. “I would have liked him to have come, but he can’t. He is already 80 years old, he has struggled a lot and he couldn’t,” she said, without containing her emotion.

Her brother, Cuqui, has also been with her. Because of her position, next to her has also been her husband, the ambulance driver Miguel Marcos. Both in a discreet background, as they avoid the spotlight and do not pose before the objectives of the press. Her daughter, what she wants “most” in this life, is outside our borders looking for a future, she is legally anonymous, but she is very aware of all the steps her mother takes and has also shown her all her support in this such a special day for your company. In fact, when she inherits Sabores de la Esteban, she “wants to change her name.”

The end of ‘Save me’

“It’s going to be special. It makes me very melancholic. It doesn’t make me sad, but every time they ask me about my program memories come back to me. Bad, but also many good ones,” he said about the end of the format that has fed him in the last fourteen years.

The farewell will be sad, but it has clarified that not everything ends with Save me. Neither his work nor that of La Fábrica de la Tele, the producer of the program that is 33% owned by Mediaset: “Save me it closes but we leave with our heads held high. We have a few days left but I’m going to enjoy them to death and I also think we deserve a little rest. But come on, what what they say the door is closed, lie. I say it now“.

Thus, the princess of the town has assured that she intends to continue on television. It must be remembered that in March she renewed her long-term contract with the producer: “I’m not going to leave the TV because I like it (…) I am going to continue on television, but not for so many days. I am from La Fábrica de la Tele and I will continue with them. We’ll be together”.

She has not clarified if she and the producer already have a firm project on the table, although she has left it up in the air: “I can’t talk about it. Top secret. I can only say that I have bosses who are very creative“. On these projects, he added: “I think it’s not up to me, I think it’s up to other people to tell it, but the only thing I say… I don’t know what it is, only that I have two bosses, Óscar Cornejo and Adrián Madrid, who They are little heads and they are not going to stay still“.

In this sense, she has preferred to contain herself for the moment: “I don’t know what it is, but I’m sure they have something. I’m still from La Fábrica de la Tele. I consider them family. They saved my life and I can only be grateful to them and to many people in the program“.

However, despite his loyalty to La Fábrica de la Tele, he has said: “Man, if they make me a fucking offer, I’m not going to say no either, it’s clear.”
