The president of the F League, Beatriz Álvarez Mesa, showed this Monday with “faith” that there is “sufficient empathy and communication” to find a solution to the current conflict that exists within the women’s soccer team, especially because he believes that at this moment Spanish women’s football is the “focus and reference”.
“We have faith and we hope that there is sufficient empathy and communication between the parties so that an agreement is reached that is the most favorable for everyone, for the image of women’s football, for the players who are world leaders and for the Spain brand to level of women’s football because now we are the focus and the benchmark, and what less than doing a good job in the World Cup and for this to be resolved”, assured Álvarez Mesa upon arrival at the II European Women’s Football Gala organized by the newspaper ‘ Sports world’.
The leader of the new professional competition believes that “what is happening is not the most favorable for the image of women’s football” and stressed that “all the conflicts” they have had with the RFEF have been due to “purely organizational and coordination issues “that have been able to be solved “by rapprochement or through the mediation of the CSD”. “The ball has already started to roll and we are already focused on the competition,” she said.
