MADRID, 24 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish tennis player Roberto Bautista reached his twentieth final in the ATP this Friday by beating (7-6(5), 6-2) the Swiss Antoine Bellier in the second semifinal of the Mallorca Championships, in the ATP 250 category and which is played on grass .

The man from Castellón will face the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas in search of the eleventh title of his career and the second of 2022 after Doha at the beginning of the year. Bautista stood firm against a Bellier who, coming from the previous one, wanted to extend his great week.

The first set was very even, only a couple of ‘break’ balls in the eighth game that the Swiss saved, but in sudden death the Spanish prevailed. Bellier did not give up and started the second set 0-2 up, but Bautista reacted at 6-2.

The title on the grass of Mallorca will be played by the Spaniard against a Tsitsipas who leads the year in games won (39), and who beat Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi 6-4, 6-4 in the first semifinal. For the Greek it is his first final on grass, the fourth in total in 2022 after being champion in Monte Carlo.
