Básquet Girona adds Corey Davis Jr. to the base.

BARCELONA, 23 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The American point guard Corey Richard Davis Jr., 1.86 meters tall and 26 years old, signs for Bàsquet Girona of the Endesa League on a “temporary” basis to help the Fontajau team in its second project in the elite.

“Corey Richard Davis Jr. (Lafayette, 1997) signs for Bàsquet Girona on a temporary basis. The American point guard (186 cm.) arrives at the Girona team from Pallacanestro Trieste of the Italian LBA Serie A,” announced the Catalan club.

The point guard, who played two seasons in the NCAA with the Houston Cougars, came to Europe with the Turkish Afyon in 2019. He went through the French Gravelines, the Montenegrin Mornar-Barsko.

He finally ended up at Pallacanestro Trieste of the Italian LBA Serie A, with whom he would renew for the last 2022-23 season, and last season he credited 13 points, 4.5 assists and an 11.1 rating in the domestic competition.

“I am motivated to be here. I have spoken with the coaches, with players who have been here or have played against the team. We have the opportunity to do great things,” predicted the new player of the team chaired by Marc Gasol.
