Barça has tied youth player Marc Casadó until 2028

The midfielder, who has already made his debut with the first team, is one of the pearls of La Masia

Midfielder Marc Casadó renewed this Friday with FC Barcelona until 2028 and will remain linked to the Blaugrana club for the next four seasons, with the intention of being able to consolidate himself in a first team in which he debuted under Xavi Hernández two seasons ago.

“FC Barcelona and the player Marc Casadó have reached an agreement to renew his contract, which will bind him with the club until June 30, 2028,” the club announced in a statement.

Casadó made his official debut with the first team two seasons ago, in the 2022/23 season, in a ‘Champions’ match against Czech side Viktoria Pilsen. Since then he has played four more games with the first team this past season and is considered one of the best pearls of La Masia, the ‘culer’ quarry.

The one from Sant Pere de Vilamajor arrived at Barça in 2016 from Damm and joined the Infantil A team, and since then he has been climbing the ranks and burning stages, going through a Juvenil A team in the 2021/2022 season, with which he was captain. and won the League and the UEFA Youth League.

He spent the 2022/23 season with the subsidiary, Barça Atlètic, with whom he has already played 66 games between the last two seasons, starting in 64 of them, alternating the positions of midfielder and right back, being a versatile figure reminiscent of that of the captain of the first team Sergi Roberto.

The Blaugrana midfielder signed his new contract this Friday at noon in an event with the president of FC Barcelona, ​​Joan Laporta, the director responsible for youth football, Joan Soler, and the club’s sports director, Anderson Luís de Souza ‘Deco’.
