The Olympic athletes Azucena Díaz, Lucía Rodríguez, Jesús España and Javi Guerra will sponsor on Saturday, December 17 (9:00 am) together with the Casa de Campo in Madrid the meeting for the tenth anniversary of the solidarity initiative ‘Drinkingrunners’, which will return to collect food for the Madrid Food Bank and donations to support the fight against ALS.
Between 9 and 9:30 a.m. the food will be collected on the terrace of El Taller del Lago in the Casa de Campo and the t-shirts will be distributed, after the athletes and groups will be presented, and the 5 and 10 kilometer marches will begin .
At the end of them, products from collaborating brands will be raffled, such as three packages of Coca Cola products and 4 of Victory Endurance, bib numbers for the Gran Trail de Peñalara and Alalpardo, a tenth lottery, bamboo ski poles from the Montagne brand , and a down and sports rest pillow from DuermeMas.
The Drinkingrunners were born in November 2012 on the Twitter social network to promote solidarity, athletics and having a good time running. In this decade they have received mentions and awards from the media, public and private institutions and careers and have collected more than 300,000 kilos for the Food Bank with the #KmsXalimentos label.
They have also raised almost 60,000 euros for the Spanish Association Against Cancer, in addition to touring cancer hospitals over the last 6 years. Since 2016 they have joined Morado de Dravet to raise awareness of the disease and since that year also to fight against ALS.
Athletes like Carles Castillejo, Pablo Villalobos, Alessandra Aguilar, Luismi Berlanas, July Takacs, Marta Pérez Miguel, Irene Sánchez Escribano, Ángel David Rodríguez, Luis Javier González, Juan Carlos Higuero, Víctor García, Eva Arias, Julio Rey, Vanessa Veiga and, among others, Pedro Nimo have integrated their solidarity gatherings.
